Ehrhart Griffin & Associates was chosen to complete the civil engineering design of phases 1 and 2 of the Hills of Cedar Creek residential development in Council Bluffs. This was for the southeast portion of the development (part of the larger development begun a number of years earlier).

The areas were previously part of the preliminary plan for the overall development, but due to the time lapse, it was necessary to resubmit the preliminary plan covering both phases. Once the preliminary plan was approved the final plats were planned and approved.

A portion of the storm and sanitary sewer improvements were installed previously as necessary for the surrounding areas to function prior to this area being developed. Therefore the work included some additional storm sewer inlets and piping, sanitary sewer services and the re-grading and shaping of a drainage channel.

In order to meet the requirements of the plat, and to provide all necessary services to the lots, we coordinated with utility companies to provide services. Utility companies included Mid-American, Black Hills Energy and Council Bluffs Water Works.
