Ehrhart Griffin & Associates (EGA) was chosen as a member of the design team that performed design services for the west entrance renovation project which grew into much more.
The original intent of the project was to redesign the west entrance into the Central High School building as well as to look at the southeast corner of the property to potentially add a gathering place and a monument sign. Throughout the process of meeting with the Central High School Foundation, the project transformed into the Legacy Walk which incorporates donor oppor-tunities of various levels for alumni to participate in.
The design effort included a boundary and topographic survey, demolition of the existing sidewalk and fire access, site layout, site grading, and a Post-Construction Stormwater Management Plan (PCSMP) for stormwater quality.
The coordination effort for the project included the design team of 4 different firms, the Central High School Foundation, the Joslyn Art Museum director, OPS staff, the City of Omaha, and various utility companies. Construction was performed in 2015.
